David had a keen interest in photography from an early age,

being a member of his school's photographic club. It wasn't

until many years later, whilst studying at Manchester

Polytechnic that his interest became a passion. He began to

photograph the bands he would see at various venues which

led to producing images for the Happy Mondays. From that

point on it seemed that a vocation in science was out of the

window, so he left the Polytechnic to pursue a career in

photography. After six years assisting some of Manchester's

top advertising photographers, David took a busman's holiday

and spent time shooting in New York and Barcelona. Back in

the Uk, David moved to London and has resided here ever

since, working from his own studio in Hammersmith. He has

had editorial images featured in iD, The Face, Sunday

Telegraph Magazine among others, as well as extensive work

in publishing, producing photographs for Harper Collins and

Dorling Kindersley.
