David had a keen interest in photography from an early age,being a member of his school's photographic club. It wasn'tuntil many years later, whilst studying at ManchesterPolytechnic that his interest became a passion. He began tophotograph the bands he would see at various venues whichled to producing images for the Happy Mondays. From thatpoint on it seemed that a vocation in science was out of thewindow, so he left the Polytechnic to pursue a career inphotography. After six years assisting some of Manchester'stop advertising photographers, David took a busman's holidayand spent time shooting in New York and Barcelona. Back inthe Uk, David moved to London and has resided here eversince, working from his own studio in Hammersmith. He hashad editorial images featured in iD, The Face, SundayTelegraph Magazine among others, as well as extensive workin publishing, producing photographs for Harper Collins andDorling Kindersley.
